OPAL Nutrients loves this super simple yet delicious avocado hummus. This recipe is filled with healthy fat, protein and dietary fiber. A great party recipe and kid friendly.
|2||ripe avocados, peeled and seeded|
|1||can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained|
|1||large cloves garlic, minced|
|1 Tbsp.||fresh lemon juice|
|2 Tbsp.||avocado oil|
** To add nutritional benefits, add turmeric to the recipe. Most won’t taste it and the health benefits are fantastic. **
- Dice half the avocado and set aside.
- Place the remaining avocado, chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice and oil in a blender. Blend until smooth. Upon tasting add salt as desired.
- Gently stir diced avocado into hummus mixture.
- Drizzle with avocado oil
